1st Film Music Festival

>1st Film Music Festival, 29-31 May

As the name indicates, the festival is dedicated to music composed for movies.It starts exactly at 100th anniversary of the first soundtrack made by one of the best composers ever – Camille Saint-Saëns (Paris 1908).
The festival opens in Philharmonic Hall with concert “100 Years of Film Score”, that will be a retrospective of the most popular pieces of music composed for films.(29th of may,20:00). The following days will see  plenary concerts on Krakow’s Błonia: on 30th the French composer Eric Serra presents his music to Luc Besson’s films and on 31th Sinfonietta Cracovia, Pro Musica Mundi choir will play music to the first part of Peter Jackson’s trilogy The Lord of the Rings (film will be screened as well).
