God bless glitchy electro pop and all its syncopated minimalism, catchy melodies and deconstructed techno glory.  French trio DAT Politics have been on the cutting edge of this scene for a decade now. The group have a peculiar but signature style that is lighthearted, catchy and fun which sets them apart from other more serious contempories such as Matmos. Many of their songs include obscure sped-up or slowed down vocal samples (often to the point of chipmunk-sounding absurdity) and juxtaposed orchestra hits and synthesizers amidst pop undertones. The group also has a very distinct DIY [do it yourself:] visual style that employs hodge podge collage and a penchant for animal costumes which they incorporate into their live show by low fi VJ projectionry. The band is touring behind their forthcoming and already critically acclaimed album Mad Kit and you’ll find them at the hottest new live venue in town, Face 2 Face.
