>>”Music and World” Festival, 19-22 March
Music Documentary Film Festival is an international and multicultural event which takes place in Krakow.
3rd edition of the Festival will take place in 19-22 March 2009. It’s main goal can be defined as presenting “Musical archeology” and “digging” which is an in-depth studying, collecting and exploration of the tradition via various media (film tape, field recordings, vinyl, cassette tape). That’s why next edition will put the spotlight on films about important figures of “diggers”, who devoted their whole life to explore fading musical worlds, forgotten traditions as well as new or rediscovered musical phenomena. Beside the film part there will be a chance to experience great musical heritage live acts from the close perspective. Diggers from all around the world will present their analogue recordings - records and tapes during various soundsystems and dj/vj nights. Special place will be devoted for concerts, exhibitions, meetings and workshops.

Every Monday from 9 pm to 11 pm takes place a Milonga in the Swing Club, Bozego Ciala Str 9 in Krakow. Entrance contribution PLN 10.-. If you feel a little bit shy for not having enough practice you are invited to go to the prior Practica at the same place from 8 pm to 9 pm.

Quite startling and original blend of college rock, post punk and indie rock.Their first album “take-off”, that will be presented during concert, is a compilation of 13 melodic songs which combine a dynamic rhythmic section, noisy guitars, strong vocals and energetic raw songs. Renton experiments with different music moods, at the same time stylistically remaining within the convention of genuine guitar play, rooted in tradition of the Beatels’ pop songs.
