FORTIFIED is a new cycle of concerts organized by Krakow music collective Loose Wire. it presents the newest independent alternative and experimental rock bands. During every edition new bands will be presented, from Krakow, Europe and around the world.

Design Attack (check link for the full programme) organized by Forum Foundation is the first such great festival dedicated to design in Krakow. The attempt is to present the newest trends in international design. This edition is focused on the Austrian school and her influences in contemporary industrial design and “material of the future” presented at the Center for Contemporary Art Solvay.

From 6th till 30 of November.

Have already started with a Saturday concert in Kino Kijów – “The Dark Side” from Hitchcock’s “Psycho” conducted by icelander Daniel Bjarnason. Never before Unsound Festival had so many video and film artists. Main theme of this year edition is “HORROR- pleasure of fear and unease”.

Last day of September has seen the grand, slightly bombastic opening of Kładka Bernatka, a bike and foot-bridge over Wisła, linking Kazimierz and Podgórze. Generally, Bernatka has acceptance of public, however here and there you can hear voices of scepticism;  it’s not looking right, it’s not in a right place etc. The most distinct opinion belongs to anarchist though, for them Bernatka is a menace, a wide pipe that will be spitting out to Podgórze, drunken crowds from Kazimierz, the another step to death in a sweet grip of global tourism.
Well from our side, we are going to heavy use Bernatka on weekly hostel tours from Krakow to Podgórze, in a day light. Hope it doesn’t count as killing.

Exhibition in Muzeum Etnograficzne, part of the Jewish Culture Festival presenting pictures of Jerusalem from nineteen century. Collection of Abraham Madeisker shows not only how Jerusalem used to like like but also present the development of photography.

Evocative music intersecting with contemporary audio culture. Legendary Australian trio The Necks use bass, piano and drums to play looping, improvisational pieces. 3 thrilling concerts of legendary German group Kraftwerk will end this edition of The Sacrum Profanum Festival. Founded in 1970, known for its inventions in area of experimental and synthetic tunes, Kraftwerk is considered as a pioneer of techno and other electro and house genres like:ambient, elektropop, rave and house.

This weekend will see 10th edition of Rozstaje (Crossroads) Festival. Invariably for 10 years, The Crossroads present the best of etno and world music form Poland and outside Poland. The festival is open for tradition but also for creative transformations and unconventional experiments.
